Luke Yates, Lead Singer, Piano, Guitar   

Spokane, WA native, Luke comes from his own family tradition of Gospel Music.  Luke caught Rick's eye and heart when he and his family opened for the Legacy at a concert in his home town.  When Luke began playing the piano, Rick knew he was poised to fill an "Anthony Burger" sized hole in Gospel music.  Having just lost his old friend, Anthony, (see memories page) Rick knew he needed to mentor the young man as he embarked upon his life's calling.  With his parent's blessing, 19-year old Luke is now touring full time with the group.  Although this is his first position in Gospel music, Luke is already showing huge promise as a lead singer and accomplished musician. 

Don E. Thomas, Tenor   

We are excited to have Don E Thomas back on the Blackwood Legacy team. Formerly with the popular "Florida Boys", Don has a signature "sky high" tenor voice that thrills audiences across the country.  Add to that his wonderful comedic sense and his heart for the Lord, and you have a powerful addition to the Blackwood Legacy ministry team.  Don lives in Texas with his wife and two boys.
